You have heard me mention Debbie many times, she and I share the work in the office at Maple leaf Drilling. Her husband Gerald is one of the three owner's son's
Here she is with her two children Breanne and Shane. Friday the 16th her sister got married and she was a bridesmaid. Breanne and Shane were in the wedding party as well. Even though Ted and I were not invited guests, (it was meant to be a small wedding), we did go to support Debbie.
Next Sunday the 25th will be the first anniversary of the passing of her husband Gerald. Of course, this affair was extremely difficult for her. To tell you the truth, as Ted was taking this picture and many others, I was very much moved. Gerald would have been so proud of his little family, because don't you agree that they look absolutely beautiful?

This is the picture that appeared on his Memorial card. Please take a moment to pray for Debbie this week. I know she will really appreciate it.
I have aprpoached Debbie to start blogging, but she felt she is not quite ready.
She will read this blog, so if you want to post a comment for her, she will get it.
She is the sweetest person you will ever meet, always ready to help somebody. Actually, I find it just incredible how she is functioning alone. She told me "Trudy one day at the time. Without God it would have been impossible."
Love Trudy

I can't begin to imagine what that must be like. To lose a spouse near the end of one's life is hard enough, I would think, but to lose your husband when you are in the middle of life with two beautiful children to raise...so glad she knows the Lord. Without Him there is no hope.
I think of a friend of mine right now whose husband has a brain tumor - the future is so uncertain - but there again, God will provide for her and her boys and I know she will be fine even if He calls Keith home.
I will continue to pray peace for Debbie and her children. Thanks for letting us know.

My prayers are with you. I hope and pray that things get easier and Debbie, you are doing a fantastic job raising your lovely family on your own...just felt you needed to know that
I didn't get a chance to comment until now (9/24) but I wanted to say that I read the blog you wrote about Debbie and it was wonderful. She has really been a trooper through something no one her age should have to go through.
God bless her with peace and a continual increased knowledge of God.
