Packing, cleaning etc

Oh my goodness, this has been quite an unforgettable few weeks.
I sold almost all of our furniture on Kijiji. The house does not feel like "home" anymore. It sounds almost hollow. Everyday somebody comes and takes something away and still I am getting calls.
I also had an other garage sale, which was quite an experience. A certain ethnic group wants everything for free. Afterall, they suppose, I have a house to sell, therefore, I must be rich!

I reminded one person, do you think me sitting here in 30 degrees C is just for fun? Needless to say, their attitude did not go over too well with me, since I have given away so much stuff. When 3:30 rolled around, I just went inside and let people have a go at it. No more garage sales for me I'll tell ye!

This weekend, Jason is flying in to manage our Open House. He is one keeper of a son in law! I am so glad I don't have to deal with the buyers, and Ted would not be able to do it either.

This morning while I was mowing the lawn I was stopped twice by potential buyers who asked me some questions. There certainly are no homes for sale in our area, so we are all very curious what the open house will be like for Jason.

It is getting very serious business now and there is so much to do and to take care off. I boxed just about everything and labeled them. Those large see through containers are ideal because of the lack of space in our new place.

I am usually up before 6am and don't get to sleep before midnight. But right now I am ready for a nap! I sure am glad I started the packing and cleaning a few weeks ago. I can be very organized when I have to, hahaha!
I had some movers come to the house to get a few quotes and they commented on all the packing I had done, I guess there was not much to do for them. On top of that there is hardly any furniture left to move. Some people left the stuff they bought so that we have something to sit on, isn't that weird?

Well, I shall go and finish my tea and visit slumber-land!

I was wondering what you will be doing with yourselves during the open house. Are you going to try and find something to do? Maybe you'll stop by here. You are welcome to do that. What are the times for your open house?

Thanks for the invite Lynnie, I had contemplated that, but we thought it would give us a chance to see some of our friends and I also have a dentist appt. The open house is from 12 to 4 both Saturday and Sunday.

Love you
