What have I been doing?

Well, after 50 years of marriage and three children and grandchildren a person is bound to accumulate a LOT of stuff.

I started out by putting things in the yard, it didn't take long for most of the stuff to disappear, because of a sign "Free Stuff". Then I had a yard sale where I sold quite a bit. One Filipino man said: "You had a sign up is it still free?" I told him: "Today is the day I want to make some money!"
It was quite a challenge to do just that. Even my plants on the deck would have been gone had I not told them they stay. Do I look that well to do? I managed to make some money and I will give it an other try next Saturday.

For the rest of the time I have been going through boxes of "things". I am a "go with the flow" person so what works best for me is by not thinking too much, because all the memories could make it extremely difficult. This is something, we, as we get older have to do as we enter a new phase in our lives. In stead of the tangible things we carry them in our hearts.

Yesterday I managed to fill up three bags with this and that's. The Canadian Diabetes Association will have a pick up in our neighborhood this week.

Jason will fly in in two weeks for an open house and the house should look up to his satisfaction. We have the signs from "Comfree". Click if you like to see our ad. It is also on Kijiji with a beautiful description by Yvonne. Actually, I wanted to make an offer my self! All photo's are taken by Lynne. So as you can see, also our in-law children are pretty much involved. A big thank you to them. Without Jason I don't know what we would have done! He is a no-nonsense kinda guy! So we can have complete confidence in him.

Actually, I sold all the baby items on Kijiji. But toys I gave away. I am such a softy when I see a small child who reminds me of our own grandchildren at that age.
