Ottawa here we come!

Well, it is official, we are going!. No not just for a visit, we are packing up our stuff.

There is so much to do, I don't know whether I'm coming or going. Oh wait, I just told you we are going.

How do you get rid of 50 year's accumulation of stuff? Well, by putting it on the driveway with a sign "FREE STUFF". If I can help somebody, like new immigrant neighbours, I just give my surplus. There are cars stopping and loading up.

Over the weekend I'll have a driveway sale, hopefully I'll make a little bit of money then. If not, well then it'll go to the Can. Diabetes Assn.

Yvonne and Jason have been a great help so far. She has been looking at apartments. Jason is going to take over the sale of the house. Since he has been "Salesman of the year in Canada" for the last few years, who else would we trust? Guiding us step by step, for which we are so grateful beyond words!

We are actually following Ron and Lynne. Ron got a fabulous job offer in Ottawa, so they are also frantically trying to get their house in tip top shape. Without them we could not stay here. They both have been such a great help especially after Ted's stroke last February. Some situations can get a bit overwhelming and they are there to help when ever they can.

An other bonus, it is so much easier for Paul and Jennifer who live in North Carolina to visit us. The distance will than be cut in half, so they could drive.

Not only that, we have so many relatives living in Ontario.

The weather will be milder as well.

Do I grief the loss of our home? Yes, especially when I look at my beautiful garden. Having to give away the toys our grandchildren played with, so many memories. But....as I mentioned to Lynne, (us women are so much more sentimental!) "This is a time when you make decisions with your head and not your heart!"

I always have believed in going with the flow, because I am convinced God is leading us. So many people go against the current and get exhausted, grasping for air etc.

How often is Psalm 23 taken for what it is worth?

Psalm 23 - The Lord is my Shepherd 1. The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want. 2. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside the still waters. 3.
