Have I told you lately how much I love to be home? Every day is a day worth getting up for. Ted and I love our coffee and tea times during the day. We go out when we feel like it or we stay home. It is almost we don't need a clock. Often we get up early , this morning Ted was wandering around at 5am (due to restless leg syndrome) so by 6 I got up and made breakfast. But there are days it might not be until 8am, hey, who cares? In the evening it might get (very) late before we turn in for the day.Last night around 11:30 I felt like having Hot chocolate milk when Ted looked at the clock and remarked did you notice what time it is? "Yep" I said, and walked over to the clock and turned the small hand back two hours. He than looked at me and said in his "Ted manner": "You are some crazy woman!" I just could not help but laugh and laugh as I walked to the kitchen.
So here we are ready for an other "do as we please" day.All week we planned to go to Walmart to pick up grocery items that are at least twenty percent cheaper than in the grocery store. Friday I said: "Okay, tomorrow 11:00 am we are going."
Actually we did not get away till after 2:30. All that time I was on the phone with three different family members in Holland about family disputes regarding my sister who was operated last week. When finally we were on our way my ears were numb.
All I could think was: "Why don't those people grow up!" The problem is with family it does not matter how far away you are, "blood is thick" and you never stop caring.
My 84 year old sister by the way is doing very well, she has a new heart valve and can go home early next week. Here she is with her daughter JoAnn, my dearest niece.
