This is too wonderful!

As I was reading this early this morning I thought, hey we all need to be reminded of this.

Actually you can read this in many different Bible translations, which I always do.

More Pic's

For the Easter weekend our niece Monica came into town
for our nephew Lucas's second Birthday.
She was staying with Tim, her brother and his wife Sandra.
We met them at Perkins upon her arrival on Good Friday.
This is Tim and his older son Logan (our grand nephew)

Below is (also Sandra) Monica's birth Mother whom she met
December 2006.

This is Lucas the Birthday boy.
We also went to their house on Saturday for a piece of Birthday cake. It sure was nice to see Monica again even if it was for a short time.

Our Easter

Our Easter was different without Anneka and Aila,
but I went ahead and made a nice meal on Good Friday
and I hid plastic eggs behind pillows and other obvious places.
Dividing up the eggs Hudson and Evan found.
Each egg had a chocolate egg inside.
Alyssa was fascinated with the eggs, she was opening and closing them.
For her I put some Cheerios's inside, which she devoured.

Below some bonding time with Oma,

this piggy has been an all time favorite with all the grand kids.

"This little Piggy goes to the market",

by squeezing the paws the piggy

completes the whole entire rhyme,

and with an final press on the tummy

the piggy goes into an hysterical laughter and shaking,

which does not always go over too well with them!

Been thinking!

Blessed is the man (woman) that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. (King James Version)

In case you don’t know, this is Psalm 1:1

Many years ago I was in a Bible study at the church, which we at that time attended. One of the elders talked an whole hour "yawn" about this verse. He went to explain what walketh, standeth and sitteth means.

While actually the answer lies in the second verse:

But his (her) delight is in the law of the LORD; and in His law doth he (she) meditate day and night.

How difficult is it for a believer in God, who has Jesus as an example and their Spirit to guide us, to live in this world, a life totally committed to God?

Just think about it, it is so simple!

My weekend

I have not been around for a while. Nothing much to tell. I am sure you are NOT interested in the drama's that I experience at work. Besides, THAT would take pages.

Yesterday was the 77th Birthday of Kees a long time friend of ours. We have known them for some 45 to 46 years. So Kees, Miep (Maria as she would liked to be called) Ted and I went out for dinner. We did that last year as well. Afterwards we invited them to our place for dessert and coffee. On such occasions I am very thankful for my freezer, hahaha!

I have to tell you that Kees must be the most energetic 77 year old I have ever known. he still goes skying, he walks several miles everyday. He told me that he is not one to keep company on such walks as he walks like a maniac!! So I have not invited my self yet, even Miep prefers the mall walking.

For the rest Ted and I had a nice quiet weekend.

Today I have an appointment with our family physician for my yearly check up (as if I don't have enough doctor's visits). But she insists she wants some credit for my total well being!!

I have also booked a flight for both of us to visit Paul and Jennifer and the girls in North Carolina. After hearing that I had gone to Ottawa, Samantha 6, called me and said: "Oma now it is our turn, we want to see you and Opa too!" She is absolutely right of course. But to go down south takes a few more days for me to take off from work. Since my boss Roelie is away for seven weeks and returning the end of March I pretty well have to wait until they are back.

We will be going from April the 8th till the 15th.

I am back!

So here I am back in my own place and getting back to normal.
I had a wonderful time in Ottawa. It is always difficult to say goodbye. But I read a book that Yvonne had left me in the guestroom. This book kept my mind off having to leave them behind. I was even reading it while standing in line. The book by the way is called : "The Shack". I have to mail this one back to her, but I am going to buy it. It is a book I highly recommend to anybody. You can go to the website, which is: http://www.theshackbook.com/

I had some trouble going through the security. I guess they saw something in my carry-on that was NOT supposed to be in there. Both guys were rummaging through my suitcase, good grief I thought what the heck are they looking for. Two 8oz bottles of of body wash. Expensive stuff from the body shop. I nearly cried when the guy said: "Sorry you can't take that along!" I was so organized, so I thought, all the small bottles of make up etc in a small plastic bag just the way they like it but...I never thought about that stuff. I felt like saying: "Okay guys, look at this face, what in the world would I carry in my bags to harm anybody!" But of course you don't else they taser you, hahaha!

But he advised me to check the carry-on at the WestJet counter. So while all other passengers were staring at me I took my stuff out of the security area and back up stairs.
Of course I had to go through the security again. May be they thought I might have smuggled something else in the short period.

Traveling is certainly NOT what it used to be. Especially in Ottawa the Capital city, nothing goes by the security, they must feel very good about them selves when they go home after their shift!

I had a nice relaxing time with the kids, and yes the guest room is every bit as nice as the pictures on Yvonne's blog, if not nicer. I loved being with the girls who have grown so much in the two months especially Anneka.
