Mothers day

Last night Ron and Lynne took both set of parents to the Olive Garden (the restaurant's slogan, where everybody is family).

Because they do NOT take reservations the wait was an hour plus. Well, like I always say: "You go with the flow!" Mind you the kids were getting very restless. Nevertheless, it was worth the wait because the food was excellent. I always take the battered and deep fried Eggplant and that comes with noodles and some sauce on top, (the sauce we all agreed does not taste that great).

We don't have pictures. Before we left Ted discovered the battery in his camera was empty. Niel, Lynne's Dad brought his case, which was empty (that's a good one!). At least he could use that for leftovers, hahaha!

We had a great time though. But Louella and I decided we have to look after our husbands 24/7 so that next time they at least have a camera to take pictures of special events!

Now coming back to Mothers day, it is NOT that I want to be forgotten on purpose, but....I never put pressure on because I do not want my kids to tell me I am a great Mom because society dictates it. I really love it when our children tell us "I love you!" with every phone call, every MSN conversation, which they do by the way! But some flowers any old day I will never refuse either. After all, you may take me away from the Dutch, but can't take the Dutch out of me!

Ron and Lynne thank you for a nice evening and thank you for the plant, I looooove it!
