Our Anniversary!

Today I have been married 46 years to the man of my dreams.
When I was a teenager (according to my Diary, which I am translating at the moment). I wanted a man with the following qualities. I wondered if one such man existed:
He had to be:
1 Handsome, but not too handsome as I did not want competition!
2 Generous but not too generous as I did not want to end up in the poor house!
3 Energetic but not a sports fanatic as I hate going to the sports fields!
4 He had to love children, not too many as I did not want to be pregnant all the time like my mother!
5 He had to love God, and go to church!
6 He had to be sensitive.
7 He had to work in an office as I did not like dirty nails! Besides I did not want to worry about him working out in the cold!
8 I did not want a big wedding, just the two of us would be fine!
9 I wanted him to tell me that I was beautiful even if I were not really.

Well let me tell you that I found all these "qualities" in this man I married.

God has, after two bouts with cancer, given us this day, how grateful I am.
