This and That!

I have not blogged for awhile, sometimes there is nothing to blog about.

Last week while Yvonne and Jason went to Kansas the girls came here. That kept me busy, it seems I was cleaning up toys all day long. (I do not like to see them lying around and I never have!) Aila and I started doing puzzles and in order for her to enjoy her accomplishments, they all have to be spread out over the table. Then she goes on to the next project, little people. So when she is not looking the puzzles go inside the box. Of course Anneka also likes to do her puzzles and they somehow find a spot in between Ails's. Then I come downstairs and whow what a mess, but at least I don't have to sit there!

I took them to the Mall (Polo Park) where we sat in front of the window at A&W eating fries, and of course our first stop was to the Pet store, where Anneka realized, seeing all those fish, that her fish at home would not get any food at all, which totally freaked her out. I told her that mommy probably gave him enough to last for five days. I am not so sure she believed my explanation.

Going to the mall means 'not shopping', as Aila does NOT want to go inside the stores. They love to go in the elevator to the second floor and hang over to watch everything going on below.

I must say that the girls are so well behaved, they are good listeners, even in the mall, they did not run off. Aila had a short crying spell that was fixed by letting them pick out a cookie at the Muffin stop, but other than that, they are a delight.

They are just fascinated with their Opa, who has a whole lot less energy than I!!! He does not understand why I would take on such projects. Nevertheless, he adores them as you can tell by all the pictures he takes of them posted on Yvonne's blog

Then on the last day they were here I got a sore throat, really sore! I still went to work the next day. I could hardly talk, so answering the phone was a problem. Needless to say I went home early. That same day I also developed a stomach flu, which lasted about two days. Ted had that the day before and let me tell you that was not enjoyable!

The funny part was that my cold disappeared within two days. It was like my body was saying: "Now wait a minute, I can handle only one thing at the time!"

But I am fine again and have been planning for the spring. I called for a clean-up in our yard as I find it a hopeless messy situation, especially the raking. I always have done it myself, but this place "Five Star Lawns" will do it for $60.00, includes free fertilizer, aeration $50.00. As they do not do weed control I have to look around for a good deal.
