Love

1John 4:17,20,21
Love is made perfect in us when we are not ashamed as we stand before Him on the day He judges. For we know that our life in this world is His life lived in us.

If a person says, "I love God," but hates his brother/sister, he is a liar. If a person does not love his brother/sister whom he has seen, how can he love God Whom he has not seen? We have these words from Him. If you love God, love your brother/sister also. (I like to add all people)

Ever noticed how people, who claim not to be a Christian, can show us so much love?

I think showing love (especially to those in need) doesn't always show you who the Christians are....and God will hold us accountable for this.

Also, a character that loves Rules more than it loves people, is self-involved and arrogant... and still claims to know God...is easy to find. It's called a Religious Spirit.

Jesus hated that....

"21 "I hate, I despise your religious feasts;
I cannot stand your assemblies.

22 Even though you bring me burnt offerings and grain offerings,
I will not accept them.
Though you bring choice fellowship offerings, [b]
I will have no regard for them.

23 Away with the noise of your songs!
I will not listen to the music of your harps.

24 But let justice roll on like a river,
righteousness like a never-failing stream!

(Righteousness, in this verse is the Hebrew word "tsadaq"...and it has a simple meaning: "Making Wrong things Right")

Perhaps more of us Christians should be more concerned with getting to know what (and who!) Jesus cares about. (Not our festivals or sacrifice (or church buildings and services).....but about following His heart, and His example of making wrong things right everywhere we go)
