Well I am living in a dream world, I find it hard to believe Yvonneand I had all those wonderful experiences. It was just better than I had anticipated.
Right now I am dealing with the jetlag, waking up early 4:30am. I slept this afternoon for a few hours then my dear "happy to have me home" husband made some tea with Dutch crackers and Dutch cheese. This evening I will have to go to bed early as I have to go back to the office tomorrow, talking about the reality of being back home.

We had our own (empty) apartment in the building where my brother Nic and SIL Tessa have a Pent-House. We had taken an Aero bed with us with Tessa supplying us with all the bedding and towels we were as comfortable as can be.
My niece JoAnn had supplied us with a lot of food. So we could snack while we were in the apartment. I found out she is just about the sweetest person you could meet. I had not seen her for more than 30 some years. She was the one who took us to Amsterdam, drove us around, treated us to coffee, pastry, croquets and the most exiting thing of all a boat ride throughout the canals in Amsterdam, this was such a nice day, we made lots of pictures.

When Yvonne left to go to Maassluis I spent two nights with JoAnn. I met her husband of 20 years. As she lives in Naarden she showed me around her town and also surrounding small villages.
More to come in the next couple of blogs

Dag, Truus and Yvonne, This blog-page is reminding me of a very great day we spend together in Amsterdam. Also the birthday of Truus. We went by Canal-boat true the famous (grachten)of Amsterdam, with its famous 'Boathouses".On the Prinsengracht we passed The "Anne Frank" House. We went to a "darkbrown bar named "Luxembourgh" and ate Croqetten in a lunchroom near "The Dam" and "Bijenkorf". I enjoyed your company very much! Jo-Ann from Holland.
It makes me want to go back to Holland. That is such a great place!!
The one thing though that was strange...I felt like you were so far away when you were there. For some reason you feel a lot closer when you're in Canada (even though it's 30 hours away). It's good to have you back
