This is my last full day in North Carolina.
Paul in his shop this morning and this afternoon we are going to a Shopping Centre out of town. Paul keeps on asking what would you like to do Mom?. My answer always is: I am doing what I like to do right now.
Jennifer told Paul, I wish Mom would stay longer, she is such low maintenance.
Yesterday we went to a store going out of business. They had Hallmark greeting cards 90% off. I bought some makeup, nylons, shampoo, I even used a Canada discount coupon $1.00 off. The cash register scanner went a bit haywire. The girl had to get somebody to help her!!! Well, it did not say "not to be used in the USA".
I also bought balloons for Sammie's Birthday Party. Which was held in the McDonald. Since they have the playstructure outside there is no party room. We had to grab the tables as they became available. So I put the balloons on the chairs. Finally we had half of the restaurant covered.
There were 14 kids plus parents. The kids actually played outside. I cannot believe with these high temp's around the 100F that they would have the playstructure outside. Since it was evening it was bearable.
So tomorrow 5:30 pm my plane leaves. We heard that Northwest is going on strike, before we heard that they came to an agreement, Both Paul and Jennifer said, alright!! Mom is staying!! Would you believe that! Poor Ted, he is counting the hours by now for me to come back. It is not easy to be in between those desires.
Sammie got many nice presents a lot of clothing and toys. I 'd bought her a huge ball, she got a second one identical! She also received a Cabbage Patch doll. I have not seen these in ages!
Since Jennifer home schools Sammie, she wanted a World Globe, so that is what I got her, it is standing in Paul's office for now. Do you know that Sammie know almost half of the states in the USA. She points to Winnipeg, "there's where Opa and Opa live, that is a long, long way", she said. Amagine, she turned four this week!
So this is my update, I probably wont blog until I am back home.
