My activities

I am so busy with "being retired". When the kids call and ask for my baby sitting services, I have to really try to pencil them in, hahaha! Just kidding!

I am totally happy with being retired, everybody should try it out, you'd love it, every day you do what you like to do. Things I HAVE to do seem like work, such as empty the dishwasher, make the bed etc.

First of all I have to mention we found an other doctor, (after seeing the previous one three times) we felt along with some of the negative reviews on the medical page, it was time to find an other one. We are very happy with this one, she is really on the ball, (actually a strange expression that is !)
She is a little bit too far away, but we think she is worth it! One of the priorities she felt is to deal with is Ted's diabetes, which we can't seem to get down. So lab tests are in the making.

Already she wants to follow up with the history of our cancers. Do the necessary blood tests and scans etc. That was one of our concerns the previous doctor did not bother with. So we are very thankful in finding her.

Then I also found an excellent dentist close by who did a lot of work to my teeth. Finally after all these years I have straight teeth. Ted said: "When you die, I want the undertaker to keep your mouth open in the casket, so that I get some reward for my money!" Hahaha! That is Ted for you, always practical!

This morning I went to my Aquafit class, holy smoke, this was my second time, but that is not easy. Have you ever tried standing
on a swimming pool noodle? Most of the other women have been taking that class for many years. They were standing straight in the water with a serious face and I kept falling off and laughing out loud. Finally I said: "Why is everybody soooo serious when this is soooooo much fun?" The teacher, a very skinny Oriental lady, I think, is happy to have at least one lively student. She has her hands full with me, because I do everything wrong!

Anyways, when I come upstairs to our place I am pooped! I slept for two hours this afternoon, hahaha! Like I said: "Being retired keeps me busy!"

How am I doing with my Fire escape exercise? Glad you asked! Well, I take the "B" stairwell go down to the 16th floor, walk back up to the 21 st, down all the 21 floors (except for the 13th). To get back up I take the elevator up to our floor and do the same thing in stair well "A". Takes me less than 10min. My goal is to be able to walk up the entire 21 floors.
By now you realize that there is no 13th floor, because there are actually people who think it bad luck, crazy, that is. Stair well "B" is next to our door, very handy.
