Cancer update

Today I saw Dr Harris and got the result of last week's test. It was good, very good, in fact she will see me one more time, which will be next January. She will do a final regiment of tests and that will be it.Then I will have been officially cancer free for five years. Now I find it a bit scary to leave the assurance of the Oncology department, but my family doctor will take over from them. I have to trust that she knows what to do.

I do have to deal with a skin specialist about the suspicious spots on my leg (Basal cell carcinoma). These things could show up on other parts of my body, Dr Harris mentioned. It accounts for 80% of all diagnosed skin cancers. But it is not something to worry about, which I am not. We'll deal with it. like everything else.

I am very fortunate having come through the Transverse Colon Cancer. Can somebody say: "Praise the Lord?" We sure did, hahaha!

I'm really really happy your tests went so well. That's so great. I got your phone message and would love to see Anneka. I'm sorry I didn't call you back; I can't have my cell phone on during office hours and I went straight from there out of town to my parents' house for the weekend. (I'm still here in Morden). How long are they out for?
