For today
Because my life has been a bit mundane, I have not had too much to write, but I'd love to share what I read this morning. You have a choice, you may read it or you might not. The choice is yours. How is that for a change?

Ottawa
I did not post too many pictures of my trip to Ottawa. I had an amazing time going shopping with Yvonne. We did a lot of sight seeing, shopping and eating. The pictures below gives you some idea.
Anneka's new found friends, her neighbours!

Waiting to go to school
Waiting for the bus, across the street, how fortunate!
Day trip to the mall (Aila took this picture)
Aila getting a bit restless
Of course Oma could not resist letting Aila have a ride
and some climbing while Mommie tried on a dress!
Below looking for a place to sit down for lunch at one of our other outings and so many places to choose from at the ByWard market.
Here Aila is just messing around, hahaha!
Take a look at this view!
A bit of entertainment!
Can you not taste the atmosphere?
Psalm 19
1 The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
2 Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they display knowledge.
3 There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard.
4 Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.
5 In the heavens he has pitched a tent for the sun,
which is like a bridegroom coming forth from his pavilion,
like a champion rejoicing to run his course.
6 It rises at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other; nothing is hidden from its heat
7 The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul.
The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple.
8 The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart.
The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes.
9 The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever.
The ordinances of the LORD are sure and altogether righteous.
10They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold;
they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the comb.
11 By them I am warned; in keeping them there is great reward.
12 Who can discern my errors? Forgive my hidden fault
13 Keep me also from willful sins; may they not rule over me
Then I will be blameless and innocent.
14 May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.

Ottawa
I arrived here Wednesday around noon.Yvonne thought it a good idea to show me a bit of Ottawa before going to their place. I am very, very impressed with the city. It is actually more beautiful than I thought.
Thursday we did some more site seeing. I saw some of the important places, such as the Parliament Hill, Sussex Drive. The out door-market and all the out-door places to eat. We bought fresh Vegetables, then of course we had to carry it all to the car, which was parked quite a ways away. Reminded me of Holland when I as a teenager had to walk all the way to the market to buy things for the family.
Then we also did some serious shopping in the Mall and Yvonne insisted I kept my wallet closed, which for me is a difficult thing to do. She told me that is was "payback time". We were in a place where they were selling out all kinds of jewelery and belts. If you know me you also know that I love belts, you can never have too many. We were pretty tired when we came home.

Friday we met Aila's teacher at school. I also had a chance to see Anneka's classroom. Afterwards we Yvonne, Aila and I had lunch at, surprise!!!!! McDonald's at Walmart.
Today Anneka said: "Oma we have not had our Oma time yet at WalMart!" Mommie was not allowed to come along. She figured, I can wrap Oma around my little finger in the toys department and Mommie might just spoil the fun, hahaha!
So that is what we did this afternoon.

I came back home last Thursday from my trip to NC. I had a wonderful time.
By the way my suitcase arrived finally in Myrtle Beach on Saturday. In the meantime Paul had given me money to buy the makeup I needed. I am a Shoppers Drug Store/Wal-Mart kind of a person but they wanted me to go to Belks (compare that to The Bay). Jennifer insisted I should try Clinique and I will never want to use anything else. I have to admit it is great stuff!
The Hotel/Condo in Mirtle beach was fantastic. The condo was between 2500 to 3000 sq feet. (On the 17th floor, there are 27!)
That meant we all had our own large bedroom (4) and our bathroom. Mine was actually an of-suite with a balcony.The place was huge, I am spoiled for the rest of my life. Who wants to go to anything less? There were several pools and a water park and then of course the ocean. Our condo was an ocean front unit with a large balcony, where we could sit in the evening, without mosquito's I might add!! There were fire works and lots of activities on the pier. Sammie and I decided we would take a walk on the pier the next day.Even at 9am we were sorry we did since it was already too hot.
We did some "serious" shopping because Paul had given both Jennifer and me and even Sammie, money to spent two days in a row. He had saved up for that. He kept checking on us how much we had spent. How much fun is that? I did not bring a camera but Jennifer took some pictures and I am waiting for her to fire them over to me and then I shall post some. Next trip I will take my own camera, because the girls Sammie and Eliana are so adorable. There were so many times that I wished I could have captured the moments.
The time went too fast for us all. I was able to spent a few more days at their house and then it was time for me to go back home to Winnipeg where Ted was anxiously waiting.
Today I am going to the office but tomorrow I will be going to Ottawa to see Yvonne, Jason and the girls. I am also very much looking forward to that as you can imagine, they have been gone for more than a month.
