Where? In North Carolina!
I arrived here yesterday at around 5:00 pm. (I got up at 5am) so it was a long day.
We waited for my luggage but one of the two did NOT show up! As I am writing this (5:30) we still have not heard from the airlines. I called them and they have not contacted my suitcase yet. My make-up is in there, yes and if you know me, you also know that I will NOT be seen without it, so... I did not take it off last night, which is a definite no-no. But we just have to go with the flow, but it might be worth a letter to Northwest for some flying Perks hahaha!
At least I have my clothes. But the missing suitcase has a few presents that Sammie is anxiously waiting for.
The weather here is great around the 90 F very mild Jennifer told me.
Tomorrow after lunch we will be heading out to Myrtle Beach. We are all looking forward to it. With this kind of weather you want to be in the ocean.

My backyard sale result!
Well, I had a perfect day.
It started out a bit coolish at 8:00 am.
I sold quite a bit, but was hoping the books and other stuff would go.
Tomorrow is an other day, I might as well since I don't think I will do this again too soon!
I was hoping to sell the crib, even the sign did not help, hahaha! Click to enlarge!
Not too much longer and I am going to pack it in. At 3:00 we finally did.

So now you know what I am up to tomorrow!
I am selling all my "whatyemecallit" stuff.
I started cleaning our basement the other day and instead of giving it away like I normally do, I decided why not give it a try and make some money.
My first customer came in today and bought some baby items/toys.
I have microphone stands, a mixer and speakers still from our singing ministry way back. Then a baby crib, wicker furniture, a bike and lots of books, coffee mugs and some decorative things. (No NOT my Delfts blue!) It is amazing how much yunk we have. All I need is nice weather and lots of customers.

Great to start the week with!
Now, if you feel like this on Monday, try the following...............Colossians 3:12-17 (New Trudy's Version)
12 Therefore, as God's people, holy dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
13 Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and sing spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.
17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

My boarders
Yesterday some friends came by for coffee and let us know that as they walked by this side of our house some 20 to 30 birds frantically came out from their hiding places inside the Ivy. They only seem to do that when strangers walk past.
I can be watering the flowers or walk to the car they won't move. One day I watered a bit too high and a bit of commotion began to happen until I said: "Now okay you guys I live here this is my house do you mind!" This is so incredible that they know my voice. They probably chirp to each other, "ssssstttttt the blond Dutch lady is coming out of the door!" Hahaha! Actually last October as the leaves began to fall the kids noticed that there were a few nests.

Back Yard!
Two days ago I showed a picture of the flowers on our deck and backyard after a gentle rain, well here is an other one of a NOT so gentle rain.It pretty well ruined all my flowers!
It took me 4-5 hours and four bags of garbage to clean up this mess!
(Click on the pictures in case you want to have a better look!!!)

Take a look at these Hosta's in the front of the house, no they have not been eaten by some little critters, that is from the hail (1.5") we had 1:30 am this morning. That was a very scary storm.Well I had to take a bath after the cleanup and I am so tired, I guess I am not as young as I used to be, hahaha! We are very thankful there is no damage to our house.
I hope you don't mind I rest a while.

I was made to be an OMA!
This has been a different kind of a week for me. I never had my daughter move away (so far). It has been a challenge to stay on top of it. A friend of mine told me in the past, when you don't feel good inside or out, start cleaning. So...... that is exactly what I have been doing. My basement never looked so good. Value Village will also be happy. The garbage collectors hopefully will be able to take it all. Anybody interested in old Readers digest since 1993? Be quick because they are going into the blue box.During this week again I also discovered how thoughtful people can be. I have had calls/plants from friends, even a call from my two sisters all the way in Holland. A dear old friend in Holland whom I called (who when I was a teenager always knew to say the right thing, she is now 84 and still as sharp as can be) well she did it again! Yep, I have to smarten up!!!
Our son Paul in North Carolina also was very helpful when he called me and he had these flowers sent out to me. When I showed them to him on the web cam he was disappointed since he had ordered tulips! I could not have been happier with this beautiful arrangement. Thank you Paul and Jennifer!

The end of this month I'll be going down south for a week and this morning Paul surprised me by telling me where we would be going for the weekend. It is also Samantha's Birthday and she is very happy to have OMA as a present. Yep, I was made to be an OMA!!!!!!!
This in Mirtle Beach SC
Paul told me all the money he'll spent will go into Paris Hilton's designer's handbag, hahaha! When I am there I will make lots of pictures, otherwise nobody is going to believe me!

Moving Day for Yvonne, Jason and the girls!
A sleeper truck, this I have to see on the inside!
A bed, refrigerator, micro wave!
Aila was invited to try out the bed. Looking good!
I always wanted to see one of these trucks on the inside!
Hope this is safe for all our stuff!Below, I'd better check the inside as well.
Mommy did not want her to be in the way of the movers though!
After a short interruption Yvonne continued with cleaning.
Oma took the girls for a last treat at McDonalds
These pancakes are the best!
Above Anneka loves pretending to be a model, whilepicture below Aila (who hurt her arm) is being comforted by Mommy.
Fun in the pool at the Hotel before going to bed!
Here we are saying goodbye, which was very, very hard!
As I am posting this, They have arrived in Ottawa only to find out that the furniture has not left Winnipeg yet. They do not expect it to come before Tuesday. This is a real "bump in the road" and they could use our prayer. Being cooped up in a Hotel with small children is not that easy.Tomorrow they plan to do a bit of painting.
