Hurray for snow!

We are having a snow storm. Why is this good? Well, some of the out-of-town patients who were scheduled for surgery tomorrow are unable to come into the city! This means, my Mom will get her surgery tomorrow!

This is amazing! Before the snow, there was talk of sending her home to wait until they had an opening. Now, she will have had the biopsy and surgery in 24 hours.

The biopsy showed that it's definately cancer. She'll most likely need Chemo. We're praying that the surgery goes smoothly, and there are NO effected Lymph Nodes found by pathology!!

Family News

Some of you know that my Dad battled cancer a couple years ago, and won! It began in his colon, and moved to his liver. He was at stage 4, and his odds of survival were slim. However, he is cancer free today. It was a hard and long road for our family.

Yesterday we got devestating news. This time about my Mom. A CT scan revealed a tumour in her colon. Today she is having a biopsy done to determine how to proceed.

We know this road well. We know how hard it is. And we know what kind of devestating results can occur as soon as the word "cancer" is spoken.

However, we know that our God is bigger! He paid the price long ago for us, and if we ask Him....he can heal. So we are asking our friends to pray. We are asking you to pray.

My Mom is a beautiful and energetic 65 year old woman who looks and acts more like 25. She is the heart of our family, and my best friend.
